We are runnning a consultation on what action, if any, local residents would like to see considerd to control the 'rat run' of through traffic using Grassmere Avenue as a short cut to and from the A259 South Coast Road, especially at busy peak times.
You can either respond to the questionnaire on-line by clicking the link below: -
or you can complete the form put through your door and return it to reception at Telscombe Civic Centre, Central Avenue. The full letter is available on a separate page of this website under 'News'.
Closing date for completing and returning the questionnaire is Friday 23rd August 2024
Is it not as simple as blocking off the junction of Grassmere and Telscombe Cliffs Way?
Grassmere Avenue doesn’t connect with the A259. It becomes Broomfield Avenue and, as a resident, I would welcome more traffic calming measures. “Humps” would be my choice, but extended across the whole road and severe enough to present a realistic deterrent to the manic drivers exceeding the 30 mph speed limit. A 20 mph speed limit throughout Telscombe Cliffs/Peacehaven could also be part of the overall solution to speeding drivers.
